Greenway trailhead

Indiana, Floyd County, New Albany

river mile 607

River access: no. Tree cover: somewhat open. Impervious surface: some. Landscape design strategy: State Park style. Information about the Ohio River: little to none.

No view of the river, and right behind the levee. But it is one of the places to get on the Ohio River Greenway, an extensive system that connects parks on the Indiana side — Jeffersonville, Clarksville, and New Albany, with the extensive park system on the Louisville side. A place to park. Far from the river, so not a place for kayakers, and no water or sewer. But bicyclists certainly could start here for rides of tens, if not 100 miles.
