How do we assess each one of the parks? We ask several questions.

First, does the park — by definition located on the Ohio River, actually offer access to the river? If it does, how is it located relative to the river surface?

Second, what are the natural ecosystem services the park provides?  How much tree cover is there? How much impermeable surface is there? What is the landscape design strategy of the park?

Thirdly, how much information about the Ohio River does the park offer?

Finally, how can people interact with the river? Can they see it? Can they get onto or in it?  What kinds of amenities does the park provide? Drinking water? A toilet? A picnic shelter?
