Indiana, Crawford County, Alton
river mile 679

Big cottonwood trees, warm summer breeze: bring your lawn chair and just sit here quietly watching the river. It’s all woods on the other side. The trees are doing their work. If you had your own riverfront home, you could launch a boat. It’s peaceful, but there are no amenities. If you wanted to camp, you’d have to do so on a manicured lawn.
